Expertise
The Netherlands Institute for Animation Film regularly organizes masterclasses and workshops for animation filmmakers and lecturers, aimed at promoting expertise in the field. The workshops have diverse subjects such as, for example, storyboards, character animation with 3D computer programmes or animation in the classroom.
The Ateliers
The NIAf offers art academy graduates who have studied animation, or people of a similar level, the opportunity of specializing and preparing for a career as an artistic film animator and/or as an applied animation film artist.
Since the opening of the NIAf in September 1993 the Ateliers have functioned as an important breeding ground for young animators. The Ateliers offer and provide facilities which give the participants an opportunity to develop their skills in the creative and technical aspects of animation film.
